This week I decided to take a look last week’s (October
30th-November 5th) sessions based on devices. Desktops
still had the most sessions with 918 sessions (62.32% of the sessions). Mobile
was in the middle with 534 sessions (36.25% of the sessions), and tablets were
at 21 sessions (1.43% of the sessions).
Interestingly enough desktops were still the highest
rated of the sessions. The number of sessions from tablets did not surprise me
because most people would still rather use a desktop than a tablet to do go on
the internet. However, I thought that in 2016, a year where everyone is glued
to their phone, that mobile sessions would have taken most of the sessions. With
people on the go all the time or waiting for appointments, people are always
looking up information on the internet. I guess most people would rather do
extensive research on a desktop than a mobile device in order to get a bigger
picture. It shows that even though mobile and tablets are still very popular,
the most sessions and transactions still come from desktops.
