Search Advertising Exam

Well I finally passed the AdWords Fundamental exam. However, this is only half the battle. I now have to pass the Search Advertising exam.  This exam will be a lot harder as it covers a lot more detail. If I use what I learned about studying from the last exam, I will be able to pass this exam. I have until the 5th of May to pass the exam, with the burden of having to wait a whole week to retake the exam.

There are a variety of methods I plan on doing to pass. I will use a different email account to take the exam for a practice. There would be a downside is that on the off chance I pass, I would have to retake the exam again on my main gmail account to get the certification, but I would get more knowledge on search advertising with Google Adwords. I will write down answers that I feel I got wrong. I will have to guess because Google Adwords does not tell you which answers you got wrong. With hard work, I will be able to pass.

Finally

Well it finally happened, I passed the fundamentals exam. I got an 84%. This experience trying to pass the exam has taught me something. I have learned that persistence is important. Passing the exam took a lot of studying and retaking, but in the end I am glad I had the experience of taking such a hard exam. I will be using the same lessons I learned from this exam to take the search advertising exam.

My CTR has improved this past week. My CTR has reached a high point of 9.01%. It seems like the issue is advertising my specific tiger, Midnight, not with the Tiger Sanctuary itself. I will be reading in the Midnight add group, but this time I will be using broad match keywords and negative keywords. I am hoping this will help improve my CTR. Below is a picture of my CTR this past week.

So Close

This week, I was four away from passing the fundamentals exam, just a little bit more studying and I should pass. I took the search exam for practice. This experience shows me the importance to keep trying. I will be studying simultaneously in the mean time until I pass both exams.

My CTR had a high of 9.09% this past week. This time I used search terms on Google AdWords to get some new clicks. I added “tigers shelter” and “where tigers are found”.  These keywords worked well for other campaigns, so I will see how this works for mine. Here is a picture of this past week’s CTR.
